With a voice like glass and a heart carved from Nordic poetry, Linnea Pihl is back — this time with Your Radio, a haunting reinterpretation of a Swedish punk ballad that’s been reimagined for the misinformation age.

Born and raised in the southern Swedish town of Lund and now based in Stockholm, Linnea has always balanced multiple identities — actress, filmmaker, former fashion model, and now rising singer-songwriter. But don’t let the glamor of the past fool you: her music is raw, honest, and often laced with dark humor. Her soprano vocals — delicate yet cutting — float above stripped-down arrangements, often built on the soft strum of her concerto ukulele.

Back in 2021, she introduced herself musically with Jag Har Inga Vänner ("I Have No Friends"), a debut EP released through Octiive. The collection was a melancholic, often witty portrait of alienation, anxiety, and growing up in a world of broken connections — especially in the fashion industry. Now, Linnea is taking a new step forward.

Her latest single Your Radio is a translated and lyrically reworked version of Lokalradio, a 1979 track by cult band Fiendens Musik. While the original tackled the mind-numbing loop of local radio, Linnea’s Your Radio speaks to today’s information landscape — where media mistrust, misinformation, and warped narratives shape how we see the world.

"I wanted to keep the skeleton of the song," Linnea says, "but shift the message to something more current — less about what we’re forced to listen to, more about how hard it is to trust what we hear."

#With violin by Arvid Swedrup (known from The Pirate Bay TV series, 2024) and bass by Josef Zetterberg Pihl, Your Radio pulses with understated drama. It’s a quiet protest song — the kind that whispers truths loud enough to echo.

As Linnea works on a new collection of songs exploring co-dependence and the wild grace of starting over, Your Radio is a powerful step in that journey — an artist finding her voice and daring to reshape the noise around her.
