Amazon Music FAQ

Will fans be able to play my song on Alexa?

Yes. Once it's on Amazon Music, fans can ask Alexa to play your song or artist name.

Is Amazon Music the same as selling on Amazon.com?

Your release can be streamed on Amazon Music and bought as a download. Physical CDs and vinyl are separate.

How long does it take?

Set your release date at least 30 days out for the smoothest launch. Need it sooner? Our Expedite service gets your release to stores within 48 hours.

Do I keep the rights to my music?

Distributing with Octiive doesn't change who owns your music. You give us permission to deliver it and collect your royalties, and that's it.

Can I move from another distributor without losing my streams?

Yes. Re-upload with the same audio, artwork, ISRC and UPC codes and original release date. Once the Octiive version is live, ask your old distributor to take theirs down.
