There has been a lot of legal ambiguity surrounding public domain content. Therefore, many retailers and distribution partners have decided to no longer accept ‘Public Domain’ content and in fact, may remove any public domain material that has previously been distributed. It is always our intention here at Octiive to stay on the side of independent musicians. In order to ensure we’re protecting the Octiive community, we will no longer accept Public Domain content.
