Your project will be listed on iTunes and other sites that support pre-sale (fans can preview a snippet of the track). Fans can go ahead and purchase your music once put on pre-sale and when the release date arrives, your music will be automatically downloaded to their iTunes account. It is a great way to generate a buzz before your music is released. If a new fan sees you at a show a few weeks before your release date, you want to capitalize on their interest immediately and allow them to go buy your music while it’s fresh in their mind.
