There's a certain art to remixing: knowing what to keep and what to transform. On his new rework of Tom Langford's "Beautiful Night," Italian producer Ruhde gets that balance exactly right - preserving the dark, moody atmosphere that defined the original while reshaping it into a deep house cut built for late-night dancefloors.
Out today on all platforms, the remix trades none of the original's emotional weight. Instead, Ruhde lets that darkness breathe over a rolling deep house groove - hypnotic, understated, and quietly relentless. It's the kind of remix that doesn't just repackage a song; it reveals another side of it.
If the name sounds familiar, it should. Behind the Ruhde project is Davide, a producer from Italy with 13 years of experience and one of the most impressive remix résumés in the scene.
His story starts in 2015 as one half of the duo Haxon & Rush, with releases on Universal Music, Armada, and Eclypse Records — and support from heavyweights like Nicky Romero, Martin Garrix, Tiësto, and Tritonal. Their track "We Are The Fire" went viral on Spotify Italy and climbed to #3 on the iTunes Dance Chart.
In 2017, Davide launched Ruhde - and made an immediate impact. His first release, an official remix for Lauv, has accumulated over 6 million plays on YouTube and SoundCloud. From there, the official remix credits kept stacking up: The Chainsmokers, Marshmello, Sandro Cavazza, Seeb, Young Bombs, Alessia Cara, and many more.
Along the way, Ruhde has earned support from EDM.com, Billboard, and Forbes, been named "One To Watch" by DJ MAG Italy, and charted at #1 on Billboard as a producer. His catalog has passed 70 million streams across all platforms, his sample packs are available on Splice, and his productions have landed sync placements with Land Rover, Disney+, ABC, and Mediaset.
"Beautiful Night" was always a track with shadows in it — and that's precisely what Ruhde leaned into. Rather than brightening it up or chasing a festival drop, he kept the original's dark character front and center, wrapping it in deep, rolling basslines and warm, spacious production. The result feels less like a remix and more like the song's natural after-hours form.
Tom Langford - Beautiful Night (Ruhde Remix) is out now on all streaming platforms. Turn the lights down and press play.
