Some projects are built on business plans. Others are built on friendship. Cloud Nova — the musical project of best friends Claudia Rhode and Ode Maertens - is firmly the latter, and tomorrow the duo takes its biggest step yet with the release of their debut EP, "Cloudy Delight."

From First Chapter to Full Statement

Last summer marked an important first chapter for Cloud Nova. Live performances and new opportunities helped the duo sharpen their sound and strengthen the artistic direction they're now fully embracing. "Hypnotize" served as the introduction; "Cloudy Delight" is the invitation to stay a while.

"Cosmic Coincidence" — a title that could double as the story of how the duo found each other — sits at the heart of the record, while "The Last Tree" brings Cloud Nova's love of natural imagery to the fore. Closing the EP is "Hypnotize," the single that started it all, now recast as the final word of a much bigger story.
