David Rosenblad (the Wild Rosen) Releases New Single“Rise Up, Through Love” ft. Jen Mulhern (Jenunine Cello)

San Marcos / Austin, TX — Acclaimed singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist David Rosenblad (the Wild Rosen) announces the release of his powerful new single, “Rise Up, Through Love,” featuring the evocative cello work of Jen Mulhern (Jenunine Cello). Arriving January 20, 2026 via Thirteenth Moon Studio Records, the song is a timely, uplifting call to action—one that urges listeners to stand up for their rights while leading with compassion, truth, and unity.

The song is the first release of a “Comic Love Suite” originally intended for a soon-to-be released  EP but with the state of current affairs (and with some serendipitous events in his musical life) David decided to release Rise Up, Through Love  now!

Inspired by the spirit and energy of the “No Kings” and “Hands Off” rallies of the past year, “Rise Up, Through Love” channels resistance through positivity rather than division. Rosenblad wrote the song with a clear intention: to shine a light on critical social issues without feeding the polarizing negativity that dominates much of today’s discourse.

“It is no longer an option to remain silent,” Rosenblad says. “But how we rise matters. This song is about standing strong in truth, while keeping our hearts open and centered on the power of Love, love being what we are”.

Elevated by Jen Mulhern’s emotionally charged cello lines, and anchored by a soulful, anthemic groove with Rob Gracia’s drum part at the center, the song balances urgency with hope. Its core message is summed up in the refrain:

Stand up with the truth in our heart—
Rise up, through love.”

Written, composed, and produced by Rosenblad, the track showcases a richly layered soundscape that blends organic instrumentation with a modern, cinematic sensibility.

David Rosenblad is a San Marcos & Austin, TX–based singer-songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and sound designer/composer for film and television. He is the owner of DRM:Sir Reel Sound, Thirteenth Moon Studio & Records, and Lotus Rose Healing Arts Center.

Over the years, Rosenblad has collaborated and performed with many artists including Chrysta Bell, Sara Hickman, and Dave Stringer, and has worked alongside legendary names such as Herbie Mann, Everclear, Cheap Trick, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, among many others.

His has a long list of credits in film sound & music ,  and his work as a sound designer and composer can be heard in recent films including TWELVE, Bid for Love 2, The Vast of Night, The Ghost Who Walks, and You Are Me & I Am You.
